Connie Cantor

Connie Cantor

Connie Cantor is a self-taught, intuitive mark-maker whose first language is line, gesture and movement. Her process is simple if not naive. A dialogue begins with a playful stroke, a seed of information informing the next, until many voices are heard. Without words, I am free to stumble into a conversation of surprise. I make marks because I am curious. The painting happens because I want to know more.
