Ruthanne Bauerle

Ruthanne has been a photographer for more than 30 years since she enrolled in her first photography classes at the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts. Since then while honing her craft, she has photographed myriad subjects throughout the United States and in Europe. Her particular interests include natural, rural and more recently, urban environments. She strives to look at common objects and see them in a way not usually captured by others. Her photographs are rich in texture and capture the extraordinary amid the ordinary.

Ruthanne, a member of Associated Artists of Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh Society of Artists, is the sole proprietor of Fox Chapel Images LLC. She was born, raised and continues to live in Pittsburgh and sees it as a beautiful part of the country with a diverse and ever changing landscape, perfect to study through the camera lens. Ruthanne’s work has been selected for many juried, solo and group shows in the Pittsburgh area and in New York and Maryland. Also, she has served as a juror for various photographic exhibits in the Pittsburgh area. Her photographs are in private and public collections around the world.
